Every design starts with you and your needs! First step is to complete a Design Survey. Second step is an on-site consultation to establish the scope of work. Then we develop the design goals to meet your needs. ALL of our designs take into consideration the climate and cultural needs of the Colorado landscape. ALL of our designs provide four seasons of interest in the landscape.
Estimated Costs
Design fees are based on the size of the lot and complexity of the design. Installation cost is estimated for each project to establish a budget during the design process.
Landscape Installation
We specialize in designs that can be installed by the Do-It-Yourself home owner, or you can work with our partner companies to help you with any portion of the installation, or install the entire project.
Commercial
We have over 15 years experience working with developers and architects. Our projects have included renovation of public areas for HOA's, corporate headquarters, and financial institutions.
Our Approach
We are a design only company. This IS our advantage. Our sole purpose is to design a plan suited to YOUR desires. We work with your needs, your budget to create the landscape design. We will provide scaled landscape plans that either you can work off of or hand to landscape contractors to get bids off of. This way YOU have control over the project. We also provide an education along with the plan; We will coach you on what elements need to be addresses first and what to be aware of when ordering materials or getting bids, We provide a Estimated Budget for the project giving both the material and labor costs, and finally we will introduce you to the plants we are proposing by way of detailed plant pictures and descriptions of what plants will actually do in the Denver Metro Area.
Secondly, a landscape is only as good as its installation. Black Forest can personally oversee the installation of your landscape to ensure that it is being performed in a manner that will make it prosper. Simple items such as untucked weed mats, poorly installed edging, and improper sprinkler coverage can create problems. Many of such these problems won't be apparent for years, but be very costly to remedy later.
