What is the difference between design build and your service?

We design for you! Our design fees are set to the scope of work and not the cost of the project. We design for your needs and budget, instead of designing for what we can sell you!

What areas of Colorado do you service?

We focus mainly on the Denver metro area. We have designed projects in; Cheyenne, Wyoming. , Eagle, Burlington, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins.
We are located in Arvada.

Do I need to supply any drawings of the property? (Plot Plan or Lot Improvement Survey)

No, although these documents are very helpful and can reduce the cost of generating a base plan. Plot plans are not required. We will always hand measure the property to ensure the highest accuracy possible and to locate existing windows, doors, downspouts, and any existing landscape elements (existing patios, walls, trees, etc. )

How do consultations at your office work?

We ask that you bring in a sketch of the area with some measurements and pictures
Cost: $50 per hour
Details: If you make the drawing to a scale (example 1"=10'), the consultation will take less time and be of greater value.
Deliverables: We will provide a plant list of recommend plants, sketch out approximate placements and quantity, rough out patio or other hardscape elements.
Limitations: Only Sections of a property can be discussed per session. We will not be able to provide a scaled planting plan, sections/ details, cost/material estimates.

Will you come to our house and recommend plants and design elements?

We can look at you project and give you some ideas, help identify plants and how to care for them, look at any other issues you are having, or listen to your ideas and see what issues you my run it to before you start a project.
Cost: $150 for the first hour, then $75 per hour. (Denver Metro Area)
Details: We will come to your site, feel free to ask us any questions ranging from horticulture to landscape design.
Deliverable: We ask that you take notes while we walk around your property. There would be an extra fee for any Drawings. See Landscape Design

How do you create a base plan to design from?

We will hand measure your site to create a base plan.
Cost: Average Cost $500 for under ½ Acre (Discounts for plot plans). Check site elevations for Hardscape or Drainage extra.
Details: We will include all existing relevant landscape ; trees and shrubs, patios, decks, walkways, fences, House (including windows downspouts, hose bibs, a/c units, etc). We feel that this is the most important step in the process and most over looked by other landscape companies (if anything is wrong on the base plan it will change the amount of materials creating additional costs and could render the design worthless)
Deliverable: Scaled AutoCAD drawings (Hard Copy –ie. Paper, and Digital if requested)
Limitations: We will not locate legal property lines, nor research easements or setbacks.

How Extensive are your landscape services, and what elements of the landscape can you design?

We Design:
-Planting Plans
- Hardscape Design (Patios, Driveways, Decks, Retaining walls)
-Drainage plans
Cost: Average $300-$1500
Details: In Brief we are a full service Landscape Architecture Firm and can design any outdoor elements ranging from small perennial gardens to muti-acre estate planning. We can design phasing plans and help to educate you in the process of landscape installation.
Deliverables: Scaled Landscape Drawings that home owners and understand and work from, biding documents to hand to landscape installations companies, material list, and cost estimates, pictures of the plants we are proposing (also available at http://denverplants.blogspot.com/).
Limitations: We do not provide structural or engineered documents.

Can you provide landscape coaching?

Yes.
Cost: $150 for the first hour then $75 per hour
Details: We can spent time with you educating and instructing any thing from planting trees, installing patios, to learning plants to learning AutoCAD.
Deliverable: Knowledge.

Can you provide project management?

Yes, will can provide "Site Observation" during the landscape construction.
Cost: 10% of installed landscape or $75 per hour plus travel.
Details: You will gain the benefit of our experience and expertise in making sure the landscape plan is followed per specifications, avoid costly short cuts or misinterpretations.

If I install the landscape my self can you help layout the bed lines and with plant placement?

Yes, we love to be involve in the process to see it become a reality. We are always availible by phone to answer questions or can make site visits.
Cost: $75 per hour plus travel.
Details: We will paint out bed lines, place plants, establish grades, etc.
